The University of Cologne offers a Master's degree in Business Education / Teaching at vocational colleges with two school-based and one company-based degree. The company-based degree can also be taken in the specialization international vocational training.

  • In the first school-based field of study, the vocational subject of economics is combined with a general subject or a special educational subject.
  • In the second school-based field of study, in addition to the professional field of study of economics, an in-depth economic science study in the form of a small professional field of study takes place.
  • The company-based degree is oriented towards an activity in HR development as well as company training and further education.
  • The company-based degree in the specialization International Vocational Training is geared towards working in international educational projects, globally operating companies or intercultural contexts.

The Institute for Vocational, Economic and Business Education is responsible for the didactic and educational components of this master's programme. The experiential studies (practical semester in the school-based or project study in company-based degree) are supervised by the team of Business Education and the master theses in the course are regularly written at the institute.

“Auflagenerbringung Master BK II”

To meet requirements in the field of educational science/vocational pedagogy, the study of master students in business pedagogy / teacher training BK II is designed in such a way that this is possible – albeit with additional effort – within the regular course of study and in combination with the practical semester in the second semester.

Module A should be taken in the first semester, while Module B can be taken in parallel with the practical semester in the second semester.

Detailed information can be found in the first seminar. For further advice, please contact Dr. Göckede.
