Announcement of the Conference Volume of the 1st International G.R.E.A.T.-Conference "The Future of VET in a Changing World"

CONFERENCE ON "THE FUTURE OF VET IN A CHANGING WORLD" IN COLOGNE

The newly established German Research Center for Comparative Vocational Education and Training (G.R.E.A.T.), which is attached to the Chair of Economics and Business Education at the University of Cologne, will hold a conference under the main theme of „The Future of VET in a Changing World“. The conference will take place at the University of Cologne from September 29 to October 1 2010.

Main objective of the conference is the experience and knowledge exchange between leading academics and experts in the field of VET from different parts of the world. In clustered sessions and in special working groups, approximately 100 conference participants will discuss Asian, European as well as Anglo-Saxon perspectives on various VET issues. The more than 25 international speakers include Prof. Dr. Weiping Shi (East China Normal University), Prof. Dr. Paul Ryan (King's College London), Prof. Dr. Moriki Terada (Nagoya University) and Prof. Dr. Felix Rauner (University of Bremen).
